Like I said I'd trust a mod on those forums than some random member from headfi.
Interesting. Can you post a screen shot of the convo? It'll clear everything right up

I translated the upper part only. I will translate the lower part if i have more time.

Not really want to argue with you. But just want to straight things out so everybody knows more about this company.

That don't say much, as I can't read Chinese. And all the person said is "we only have official retail channel in mainland China".

Sort of ambiguous. Are they the only retail channel or is she saying mainland China only has retail channels.

Since ibuygou is located in China.

After that, I asked about the "clip" of the pistons. They neither admit nor deny that the content has changed. Just keeping saying that "what you see is what you get". I am kind of pissed off.

Lol seems like she doesn't know what's in the packaging.

As I can't read Chinese, I still don't know who's official. Thanks for contacting them but I cant verify or deny what's being said in the convo.

After more searching. ibuygou should be a Hong Kong company with headquarter in Shenzhen. These are some related info.

Hello all.

I have the same issues like some guys here. I bought Xiaomi Piston from ibuygou. According to some peaople im seeing two Xiaomi Piston 2. The clip version (16 ohm, 5mW (¿i saw some with 20mW?).....) and the non clip version (12 ohm, 3mW...)

What about it?

Tried m6, sony hybrids, vsd1s, some generic from ebay, my stock lumia tips and they all more or less put a veil on the mids and treble.

I said it here a few times, I like the pistons more than my vsd1s because their sound signature bassy, warm and sweet sparkly treble and that they dont have that harshness of vsonics in the treble that I'm very sensitive of it. But the detail in the mids and treble is gorgeous for the price, my pistons sound pretty good and if those are fake I'm starting to think that originals might sound top tier.

Sorry to go off topic but that is the first time I've ever heard anyone describe VSD1S having harsh treble.  Is it really that much different from VSD1?  I would never, ever describe VSD1 with hard treble of all things.. but I guess VSD1S were supposed to have more emphasis on treble.  I'm just surprised it goes to a level of harshness.. lots of people prefer the VSD1S over the VSD1.

My impression is that all of the vsd1 variations are considered to have a bit of harsh treble. I've got the vsd1 and are not bothered with it though.

According to xiaomi's spec.

  • 喇叭抗阻12Ω ~ 16Ω
  • 最大实用功率(Max.  Power)5mW

Both versions meet the specs according to xiaomi info.

Really?  What are people listening to that gives them a harsh treble!!  The only reason I've stopped listening to my VSD1 is because one of the ear buds split in half and I haven't had a chance to fix them.

I don't know and as I said I don't find them to be harsh. I just see it mentioned several places here....

This is so stupid. Of course the Ibuygou Pistons are NOT fake but a different/earlier revision. Move on.

I don't have dedicated players, I use some Nokia phones, an Lumia as my daily driver, and my laptop and desktop computers to listen the music. So my sources are not that good, but all of them in conjunction with vsd1s exhibit some harshness in the high mids, low treble to my ears. I listen to high volumes though, but it's something that bothers me.
