The Xiaomi Pistons Thread - Page 32

I trust both, but there are definitely two different versions which sound different. I can take a pic later.

It's misleading to say the agent is sending you random stuff. There's always a possibility, but it's highly unlikely. The agent would immediately be called out by us for it, such as ugomark for failing to ship items and getting their Paypal suspended.

Ugomark's Paypal isn't suspended, they are still in business.

Shipping does take forever though - I had to ask for a Paypal refund after 6 weeks, repaid when the item arrived a few days later.

Just received my second pair of Pistons2 from ibuygou.

No shirt clip and the no marking for L and R earpiece, still the ring on the R side earpiece.

The instructions are now printed on the inner side of the brown cardbox, while previously it was on a separate piece of paper.

That's exactly how mine looked, there's a little bit of tape holding the flap down right? And the tips aren't in s/m/l order and stuff

Looks just like mine from ibuygou, I'm pretty confident they're legitimate

Got my comply foams in today went with the comfort with wax guard ones (tsx-500)
A bit of a tight fit but they're much more comfortable and sound nicer

theyre the same piston 2.0 but the staff told me that they are the stock earphones of Xiaomi 3( mobile phone) which they released a few months ago. Number 3 does not refer to the third version of the pistons but refers to the version of the mobile phone.

There were not possible to use PayPal at Ugomark a week ago. I did also have to get two refunds from them (through PayPal). Wouldn't recommend anyone using them any more, it's a shame since they used to be pretty good.

Isn't it the most reasonable possibility that the official store has an updated version that could be purely visual (or not, but since it's supposed to be the same exact model), instead of the ibuygo ones being any sort of fake? Obviously everywhere else besides the direct source will still have outdated versions of the pistons for a while. At least I saw something like this happen with my Brainwavz M1, when I sent a pair back to RMA and received a replacement with a different box style, included accessories and connector shape.

Well, according the the pics on xiaomi's website and taobao account.  It doesn't have L and R marking but the ring bump.  So maybe its an update but IBUYGOU is official. I don't see how people keep saying they're not.

I'd trust IBUYGOU, official partner for Xiaomi and MIUI, more than some 3rd party agent sending you random stuff.

completely false they arent official partner of xiaomi and miui by any mean. although they are legit for the time being. refer to my last post of you need evidence.

This looks the same to those being sold directly from xiaomi.

http://www.ibuygou.com/ Is Not Partner Of This Forum In Any Official/Unofficial Case.

Please Check Better Their Website Before Writing Something Like That.

On IBUYGOU Only Official Partners Are :

http://joestechreview.ning.com - Tech News Website
http://miuiandroid.com/ - United Kingdom MIUI Fansite (Fansite Is Not Equal To Official Company Website/Forum)

None Of Upper Mentioned Websites Are Connected With Selling Xiaomi Devices Officially.

Also As I See On IBUYGOU Website They Dont Have Any Kind Of Partnership Or Reseller Connections With Xiaomi(MIUI).

I Wish You Best Luck In Gaining Your Warranty Rights.

Thinking about jumping on the Pistons bandwagon.  However, the Audio-Technica ATH-IM50's are also calling me.  Anyone ever compare these two?  The IM50's are about twice as much, but are still reasonably priced.

Thanks.

We won't know for sure without confirmation, but the Xiaomi stores ones have a noticeable SQ difference over the ibuygou ones I also have, alongside with the visual differences.

Ugomark was hacked recently, that's probably why Paypal wasn't available.

The Paypal account itself isn't frozen though, I repaid them successfully.

How long ago did they ship your items? Are you still waiting for them? Mine took over 6 weeks.

I've got full refund from PayPal for all my pending orders at Ugomark and don't use them anymore. Total lack of communication was my biggest problem with them.
