Are these the genuine piston 2.0s?

Yes, that the link the majority of us, I think, ordered from. It seems like penonaudio / bigbargainonline has some with updated packaging.

The price has gone up again! Now $27.99 .

I just realized none of the press (?) photos have a picture of or mention the shirt clip (which you can see here: http://penonaudio.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=220) so I'm more and more convinced that its just updated packaging.

haha, thats where i bought mine.  they did go up $3 since i ordered mine 2.5 weeks ago.

i cant believe you guys are still trying to figure out if your pistons are real or fake.  pretty easy to determine based on pics.  xiaomi probably saw enough complaints about no clip or L/R indicators and added them to their latest batch.

what ear tips would you guys recommend for the best seal and do you think the comply tips mess with the sound at all because I wanted to try a foam tip.

IMHO, Ortofon tips give the best seal but will change the FR due to its small bore.

For me, I'm using V-Moda silicon tips as it has large bore.

Not a fan of Comply as based on my experienced, it will roll-off the treble.

The Pistons already has roll-off treble, so you mignt not like the SQ

All are based on my experience, so you have to try it yourself

I'm kinda new to head fi what does a small bore do to the sound?

Small Sennheiser tips:

The 3-pack of smalls is gone, but you can still buy 2S+1M.

I have also tried these much cheaper but similar looking tips:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/321060412143

The medium and large tips here are almost identical to the ones in the first link.

But the small ones are much smaller - may be a better fit for some, may be not for others.

Foam tips usually have a narrow bore, which is not optimal for the Pistons.

How much better are the sennheiser compared to stock ones? Also how do you keep stuff out of the pistons after you do the mod?

Even ibuygou is NOT official, but they have been known for selling genuine products for some time.

The ONLY official sources of Xiaomi Products are xiaomi.com and xiaomi.tmall.com. Don't get mislead.
