Ok. I'm joining the Piston 2 fan club. Got mine from xiaomiworld.com so it's the real one.

and 1-day impressions: These are amazing! Detail and Stage is incredible for the price.

Woot

After some burn-in, a swap with your favorite tips, optional EQ, and an optional mod, they really shine. Unheard of quality at the price point.

Sir, I like to thank you for this superb review. I will choose the Pistons over the GR02's. 20-40 days shipping, d'oh! Thanks again!

It's so funny how everyone was certain where to get legit ones and which ones are fake.... Then a few days later it changes again lol.

Honestly, at <$30 I could care less if it is a fake as long as it sounds good.

I just posted to make sure those folks who ordered from Ebay seller inshoes feel less nervous that they will only receive a fake.  I always know that whenever I order a popular item from Ebay or even a refurbished item from a reputable site, I am taking a chance that I may be scammed.  I just decide upfront how much money I am willing to lose if it doesn't work out.

I'm glade I've been helpful. I forgot to say that I can feel the soundstage is bigger on the Pistons. If we can talk about feeling the soundstage on a IEM.

I ordered from Ibuygou because they should be the only official reseller of Xiaomi. But mine came without a clip

I'm 100% sure that the ones from Ibuygou are genuine. Probably just different accessories with different batches/resellers, wouldn't be the first time.

Hey guys, could someone please compare the pistons to the bassos/ tenores. Im thinking maybe the pistons share the same kind of sound sig?

Not same at all...the basso/doppios are way better in every aspect, but for the $30 and under they can't be beaten 😎😁

Agreed. These were selling at $19 before Christmas when they were still somewhat unknown, and $16 direct from Xiaomi (if you live in China). There is nothing at $20 that can compete anywhere near the Pistons in SQ, working remote/mic (on Android) and looks.

woah, didnt know the doppios are in the $200 price bracket.

Are the dunu 1000's a big step up from the bassos/ doppios?

Not sure I agree about the Bassos beating these. I think the Pistons are more versatile.

I have fakes (inshoes) and real ones (ibuygou).  Fakes sounded terrible.  I posted comparison pics in this thread.

I had all 3.  For me, Tenore is much better than Basso because they have far better mids and highs with less bass, but still north of neutral.  They hit hard.

Pistons have more bass than Tenore and maybe more than Bassos (from memory), but they lack detail and treble extension compared to the Tenore.

Piston sound sig is closer to Basso than Tenore.  Unfortunately, I only have the Tenore and Piston; I sold the Basso.
