Which Audeze is the one for me? - Page 2

just received my new Fidelio X1 - amazing sound signature - iLike :D apart from a 70-100Hz hump, and the soundstage is more enclosed than my HD600. but it has a slight upper midrange/low treble accentuation which makes modern instruments sound lush. I wish it has more sub sub bass.

while the HD600 is perfect in every way it reproduces sound, superb detail, it is rather boring.

whereas the Fidelio is not perfect in the way it reproduces sound, its clarity is not as good, it makes music exciting, like you are in a party.

which way does the audeze lean? i don't need massive quantity of bass as I can EQ it. but the sound signature and the very sub bass is either there or it's not (the frequency curve says the audezes go right down to 0Hz!)

I still don't know what a Hifiman HE-500 sounds like, but bought the Audeze LCD-2.3 - the experience is heaven. Everything I had asked for in this thread. The bass is not strong, but the flat bass response is awesome, no bulges/humps anywhere for people like me who likes to EQ up the bass.

The acid test is whether I can say the experience is heaven after a few months/years/decades.
