For sound and comfort I stand by the beyerdynamic custom one pro. For me this is the best 200 $ headphone I have ever used.

I'd skip the DJ 100 and go for the DJ 200 or DJ 100 TBSE Edition,

Okay, so, I've thought it over a little bit and broken it down to really three options that seem to be the best for my price limit:

The Beyerdynamic Custom One Pros, the SoundMAGIC 100 Premium, and the AKGs K550s. From what I've read and you guys have said the Beyer's seem to be more comfortable, but the SoundMAGICs have better mids. What do you guys think?

depends on you, I never found the HP 100 to be un comfortable, granted nothing is as comfy as a beyer. Still I'd go for the Sound Magic. It comes with it's own carrying case and a detachable cable. If this is ur first headphone it would be good to get used to carrying your headphones in a case of some kind, and detachable cables are great for when... well for when accidents happen!

Still the COP is also a very good headphone

I have decided to go with the sound magics, they definitely sound like what I am looking for. Thank you for your help!

So far, I'm quite pleased with the sound they produce. In fact my only complaint is that they aren't quite as comfortable as I would like, however I'm hoping over time that will change as they soften and shape with use. Nonetheless, I still like them quite a lot!
