Which do you use more, a full size headphone, or speakers? - Page 2

True, maybe people could also comment on which setup they spent more money. That could be interesting too. My headphone setup used to cost much more than the computer speakers I owned but over the years I kept investing in my speaker setup including room treatment. Right now I've got much more money put into the speaker setup.

Alessandro MS Pro vs Logitech Z-2300... The only headphones and speakers that I own, so I choose headphones.

Headphones when I can't use the speakers, otherwise speakers.

The soundstage and bass depth of speakers, headphones will never come even close.

I stay up too late to use speakers. Also, I only use speakers when I have people over.

I used to be all speakers. These days its more and more headphones except when things feel too quiet and isolated in the apartment then I turn on the speakers to give some life to the graveyard silence permeating the room. If not for that it would probably be a hundred percent headphones except for when having guests.

Yes, I think your right in a way. I have been doing a lot of DIY and value for money there is much better. I spent 600 euros building my speakers and I bet they sound better than speakers that cost 3-4 times as much in a shop. Nonetheless, I would expect people to spend the most money on the system they use the most.

I'd say about 70/30 speakers/headphones for me.

My 2.1 monitors sound great, and i can also kick in the bass when i want it. Daytime is usually spent with the speakers.

I do stay up late as well so obviously the cans are the go-to. Also I use my Q's almost exclusively when i want to critically listen to a new album.

i don't like to bother other people with my music so i 99% use headphones/iems. i also have much more money invested into headphones and iems more than speakers. i have a pair of 20 bucks altec lansing speakers in my bedroom. that's it, that's all the money i have spent on speakers. i don't use it often and i have no intention to upgrade my speaker setup if it can even be called a setup. for headphones, i may purchase the he500 in a few days, 600 bucks for a new pair is mighty tempting.
