When I get the K612 back from tour, I'll be comparing the two. I will definitely be back with many impressions smily_headphones1.gif

Okay, so far, I must say these remind me a lot if the SRH1840. The detail and imaging I'm getting with these is absolutely amazing. A bit bass light, for my taste, but is very well textured (something the 1840 lacked).

Also, do you know how these compare to the Audio Technica ATH-M50S?

Thanks!

Zelda, I can't recommend the Shure 1540 alcantara pads enough, on these. They're not your average soft pads, as they have a very similar sound effect to pleathers.

When comparing to stock, the signature remains the same while sounding noticeably refined... with an extra touch of air...

It's been almost two years since I owned the M50, but can say these are apples to oranges. Two completely different headphones aimed for opposite purposes.

I'm very curious how these compare to the Grado SR225i's.

Two open headphones at the very same price point.

Any thoughts?

Apples to oranges in a good way? Also, I kinda did want 2 complete different headphones but what are those opposite purposes you mentioned?

I'm assuming the ATH-M50S is the v-shaped and in your face?

Also, I'm planning on getting these but would like to know how these perform or sound when it comes to rock music (Pretty much a deal breaker or something).

Some samples of what I mean (Also be forewarned that these might be pretty loud so yeah):

Thanks!

EDIT: Also, how do these compare to the ZMF Basic V1 if you've tried them?
