X3 Fake off of Amazon.com? Need help in identifying.

So a friend of mine ordered the Fiio X3 dap, Checked it out, all metal great build quality and everything, updated the firmware and such just as everyone else would. Fiio then gives the option on their website to enter a confirmation of the product to see if it is genuine. The number does not work. We then start to notice differences between his and all the others in different unboxing videos and on the Fiio website itself. Hard for me to really see the differences in the build due to we are using Skype to communicate this. I wanted to purchase the Fiio X3 as well but wanted to know if this product is a fake? Any help is great. Links below.

For the amazon purchase http://www.amazon.com/Lossless-Mastering-Quality-External-Connection/dp/B00EPFLJS8/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1391035731&sr=8-2&keywords=fiio+x3

Unboxings of other X3's                 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KeWbwqBgOto                                             http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E215g1s7DTo

Will post pictures if needed.

I bought the same Fiio X3 package from this same dealer. Fiio website authenticated my product code to be genuine.
