Yep, guess I'm going to have to wait a little to put my order in.

I just picked up a used pair of DT 990s, listening to them now.  Not quite as good as the DT 770s.  I think I prefer the DT 770s to the DT 990s.

Wow! You sure do have a lot of headphones in your signature! I'm going to nominate you Top Head-fier.

Yep, LOL. And, I got about 5 more pair that wouldn't fit in the signature line (ran out of room).  Also, I got a pair of Denon AH-D600s on the way.  Should be here Monday.

I guess I should just go ahead and say................"My name is Boochie and I have a problem with buying too many pairs of headphones..............."

I would gladly pay $230 for these. It's still a bargain when you consider they sound better than most other headphones.

Hey PBmaster14, did you try out my EQ settings yet that I put in this thread ? I think you will be very impressed.

I'm going to give it a shot this weekend. Been too busy this week. I'll post when I do.

DW75 I tried the Eq you recommended and I like it. I'm going to try it for a few days and post back.

By the way does anyone have a pic of the DT-770's with the black pads? I was thinking they would look cool in all black.

Hey guys,

I am new to the 250 ohms club; they arrived from Amazon on Monday. I got mine for ~150 dollars so I am quite happy with that. The headphones themselves are performing very well and I have it hooked up to a Fiio E07K. I saw someone asking about this setup a few posts back. Before I comment on it, I need to inform you that it is my first time using an amp/dac, so I am literally new in that area. I haven't really noticed any difference between using it with and without the dac/amp on my laptop. :( I probably should carry out more comparisons for my own audio knowledge but in the meantime, I have been more obsessed with comparing them with my previous JVCs. They are WAY better than them so for the time being, I am really delighted with the DT770s.

Nice to have you with us in the club. You may want to try the EQ settings that I posted in the thread earlier to use with Foobar2000. I think you will be amazed at how much more balanced and neutral it sounds. Let us know how it works for you.

Thanks guys for the resounding welcome! Haha. I guess the 250 ohm isn't the most popular to the mainstream headphone user. But this thread helped a lot when I was browsing through head-fi, trying to pick a headphone to purchase. So many thanks. :)

Will foobar still work since I've connected a dac?
