Using RCA splitters from phono amp into a tube preamp & hybrid headphone amp

I would like to use RCA splitters to connect my Musical Fidelity V-LPS phono amp to both a Little Dot MK III and a Little Dot MK1+. The MK III is being used as a preamp in my living room stereo, the MK 1+ would be a headphone amp for my Grado 325is. (I wouldn't be using both at the same time, of course.) My source is a Rega RP1 turntable.

Is this do-able? Will it cause any problems or sound degradation?

Thanks.

Also: the Little Dot MK III is all-tube, the MK I+ is a tube/solid state hybrid, as you probably know.

It's hard to say, there is not much information available about that Musical Fidelity V-LPS. Information like it's output impedance and it's output voltage.

How long will the interconnect cables to the Little Dot MK III and a Little Dot MK1+ be?

Hey, Speedskater, thanks for helping.

The interconnect cables to the Little Dot units could be the same length, about 3-4 feet each, or I could end up going with a longer one for the MK1+, say, 10-12 feet. (If I make them both the same length, then I'd need the Grado extension cable for my 325is.)

Anyone else? Thanks.

That should work just fine. Both Little Dot amps have 50k ohm input impedances so your V-LPS will see a 25k ohm load (two 50k ohm loads in parallel). That's a perfectly good load impedance for the solid state output of the V-LPS.

Does it matter if the cables from the V-LPS to the two Little Dots are of different lengths? (ie. 3 ft to the MK III and 6-8ft to the 1+)

Nope. Sure doesn't.
