Thanks for the info. However, I am more concentrating on those streamers or digital transporters that can natively output hi-res (196 kHz or higher) data stream via coaxial. Hydra-X, for instance, is in fact a DDC.

But, you're right. So far, too few resources that are higher than 196kHz. It's doesn't make too much sense to chase after the ghost. Studio masters files are the future. Although it's still a long way to go.

My guess is the QBD 76 replacement and possibly the reference cd player with the new dac in it but I've been known to be wrong on nearly every occasion.Might even be the Hugo S

Or maybe CHORD SPM 14000 MK 3 as the MK 2 struggled to..drive my monitor audio bx1 book shelf speakers sufficiently 😟

Anyone else frustrated on the lack of optical cable suitable for chord hugo? Only one I've found is the sys-concept which is too short for me.

Don't you have a go-dap socket? Why not use that & a coaxial cable?

did u get an optical cable when u got your hugo? I did, and it sounds fantastic with it.
