Simply NONE........the Hugo driving the HD800 is in a different league.

I have not tried the Hugo with IEMS though............

I have good info on that... they pair well according to my contact at Chord.

Not exactly Hugo-related but I thought it was fun to watch. I wonder if the Hugo is built to the same standard?

After demo Hugo and watched that youtube, I seriously suspect the folks at Chord are from outer space.

No, not tried with the ASP TU-05.

It is my friend's Hugo. I don't have one, and probably won't buy one as I cannot find uses for it to justify purchase.

Any suggestions on how to get one in USA from international dealer/distributor? Just found out local one won't have one for me in at least a month which really means 2 months or more.

Custom Cable in the UK got me mine. They were good to deal with.

I've had my AK100 for a while, but only tried to play 24/176 & 24/192 tracks through the optical output into my Hugo today. And nothing. Lower rate files play fine through the optical-Hugo chain. Everything sounds fine through the headphone output so the AK100 is accessing & playing the files.
Am I missing something basic?

Update: got around to trying different combinations of files and devices. I tried files on the AK100 & an iPad (using Ampliflac & a Lightning-USB connector). The Hugo shows the 192k & 176k files and the sound is good using the iPad-Ampliflac, the AK100 was fine on 44kHz & below, struggles on 96k files, and seems to output nothing on 192k files. I tried 32Gb & 64Gb cards, no difference.

Don't know if it is the same issue (I'm not familiar with the technical terms), my AK100 outputs 96k files (AIFF & FLAC) in garbled form, and produces nothing with higher res FLAC files. Pity, it doesn't have a problem with 2x 64Gb SD cards.

If I play a  24/192 file, it play correctly  (which is different from your problem), but then it is unable to play a 16 bits file as the "next file".  I need to play a 24/96 file to get the AK100 down from 24/192.  It is crazy, but it is like it could not "Jump" directly from 24/192 down to 16 bits without an intermediate step at 24/96.   I reported the bug to Vinnie who confirmed it.

This is not exactly your situation, but may ring you some bels

Nope, mine struggles on anything from about 76k up, and refuses on 176k & 192k. I have the current firmware, maybe they are different hardware versions.

Hey guys, any more impression, so far I have heard its super duper awesome & rival desktop Dac of any price and wipe the portable DAP/Dac/Amp off the floor sparkling clean... so far I like what I read..and even the all new AK240 is not its match so far..

How does it sound like?  How is it compared to your other reference gear.. how is the bass/Mid/treble, is it warmth or analytical, sound stage, detail PRAT etc..

Thanks Folks
