There's obviously a lot going on over in the Far East when it comes to technology and audio gear, personally glad to see that affordable goods are being made out there questioning the high cost of some goods that are made in other places. Was wondering if anyone from Europe/America or if anyone from the Far East living in Europe/America has been able to travel out there to buy goods and bring them back and what experience they had with customs on returning. In the UK we get tax+duty for 20% of the value of the goods brought back if their initial value is over £350 I think it is.... the temptation to take a holiday in the Far East enjoy the sights and sounds as well as pick up on a few gadgets is too much and its something I'll be doing some time in the near future.
Must have been people who have done this, if I did go I'd probably come back with a few headphones at least, am not sure how a set of speakers would look in a suitcase .lol. Although depending on the make it might be worth dismantling them for shipping at a lower cost.
Anyone have insight into travelling to pick up goods abroad?
