Have a O2 amp with the JDS DAC --- Now what cans are recomended???

I have at this time a pair of Audio Tech... m50 that sound very nice with the JDS stuff. Prior to the JDS DAC I favored the Beyer.... DT990 pro, since the DAC not so much, the sound changed, they seem muddy or something like that. I've the AKG Q701 (don't care for them. I also had a pair of Senns HD598, they were ok but left me wanting something more accurate up and done the spectrum. Any recommendations on what matches up with the JDS stuff. I listen to Spotify a lot. Mostly old soul stuff, I like bass but I'm not a basshead.  Play list, some old Rolling Stones, Robert Cray, Bon Jovi, Grace Potter, and nearly all the guitar stuff, Neal Schon, John Mayer. This is to give you an idea of my listening taste.  Thanks in advance.  Gary

Now that the HE-400's have dropped to $299, I can wholeheartedly recommend them hands down at that price range.

I, too, was thinking HE400, but guitar-based rock is stunning on Grados. You'll want L-cushions with some version of the tape mod because you like more bass. SR225i is the best mid-priced model. It's clear and very fast. You might find one on FS.
