Best headphone under 250 dollars for EDM Music - Page 4

I use the DT880 for EDM too :D but yeah get DT880 if you listen to other genres too. I auditioned and chose DT880 over K550, Momentum, HD600 and custom pro 1. Try out before buying.

I loved the dt880 for psytrance, I prefer higher detail and soundstage for the types I listen to. TH600 is what I like for some heavier genres like dub step, aggrotech industrial. I actually listen to a lot of edm on my hd800 and t1 for their Imaging speed and detail level. My most important thing is immersion and the synth lines effects as opposed to purely the bass. The grado bushmills sounds pretty great with house as well.

which open back headphone do you prefer for EDM between Beyerdinamic DT880 Pro 250 Ohm (600 Ohm is too much impedance for my configuration), AKG K712, HifiMan He-400 and Sennheiser HD600/650?

DT880 for detail, airyness, texture, space and expansiveness. HE400 for bass, fun sound signature and speed. I prefer the DT880 for the reasons before, most seem to with the HE400 though for its bass.

That's all I'll say.

Connecting the Beyer DT880 Pro to my C5D with Bass Boost do you think that I can reach the bass level of HE-400?

It's very important for me a good bass with a good soundstage and a fun sound signature...

Hi, I may not own the HE-400, but I can guarantee you, that anything that is bass boosted through the highest level of bass boost on the C5/C5D will decimate any headphones' bass. The M100, that's renowned for its monstrous bass, has nothing against a neutral pair of headphones with the C5/C5D's bass boost on.

That's my 2 cent if you need...

I understand...I may need a can in the middle between HE-400(good bass and treble but not so much detailed) and HE-500(less bass but rather detailed and more neutral)...is there exist??

Not too sure to be honest, haha.

Try out the JVC HA-MR77X's. 100$ for the best bass reproduction headphones for under 800$. Maybe further... Either way, they are ridiculous basshead cans while still having fantastic highs and mids. The bass is never overwhelming. Look up the review for it on here.
