Portable Amp needed for 250 ohm dt770s - Page 2

If you want to use the headphone on the go, then you could consider only closed cans.....

have you looked at v moda m 80, m100? these cans do not need an amp. V moda phones are stylish.....

Not a big fan of the looks actually tongue.gif I used too, but I've more so been leaning twards the looks of sennheiser and certain other brands, I also don't like the look of the akg headphones. The thing about closed is that I've heard the sound isn't as clear or good, also I love the feel of open headphones tongue.gif but whatever yo.

Oh damn! OH DAMN! I just read the review on the x1's and they sound so perfect to me! I know what I'm getting! Slap on a nice coiled cable and I'm set! Thanks for the recommendation dude!

I've been trying to find the right cans for the past 3 days!

lol - there are people on head-fi (me included) that have been looking for "the right cans" for the past 30+ years. I hope to still be looking in 30 more years.

If you still want the Beyerdynamic DT770, I suggest you look at the 32 ohm version instead of the 250 ohm.

You are welcome.

X1 has an impedance of 30 Ohms and sensitivity or efficiency of 100 dB/mW. It can be easily driven by soundcard of laptop or ipod or any mobile device. However, a dac/amp such as, E 07K would improve the sound quality of X1 by providing cleaner signal.

coiled cable,

Alright, I'll probably get the E07k. For coiled cables those seem to short for me, I however found this one which seems pretty decent. http://www.amazon.com/V-MODA-Coilpro-Extended-Cable-Black/dp/B00D3EGSI8/ref=sr_1_cc_1?s=aps&ie=UTF8&qid=1390919983&sr=1-1-catcorr&keywords=Vmoda+coiled+cable thoughts on it?

tongue.gif I would love to, but being a highschool student with a mother who is afraid of the internet is an issue. I'll order them as soon as possible! The funny thing is, I was actually gonna start building a new gaming PC with this money tongue.gif but then I tried my friends hd558s and got cought up in the world of cans!

The cable has 1/4" male pin at one end and 1/8" male pin at another end. E 07k has 1/8" socket. I guess that you need to find a coiled cable that has 1/8" male pins at both ends.

This hobby is much better than playing shooting games. I am sure that you will love x1.
