Bluetooth PortaPro Mod

I have an old and damaged PortaPro sitting under the shelf. So I decided to buy a chinese made bluetooth headphone and install the driver of the PortaPro. I can not compare the sound from the original PortaPro since I haven't used one for a long time. The last time was 5 years ago. However, comparing the sound of the old chinese driver and to the PortaPro, I find the latter driver sounds better. The bass is a little weak, but that's fine with me.

I am having problems though. Whenever I boost the volume, I hear a popping/clicking sound on my left headphone. Any suggestions?

What was wrong with the headphones before you put them in a new housing?

The wire and jack is faulty. I don't know if the drivers got damaged when I placed them on my shelf for years.
