Custom One Pro or Shure se215

Hello,

I am seeking some help from you guys. I recently bought Custom One Pro and I love them! The audio quality is the best i've ever listened (you see my level of audio appreciation). Needless to say, I'm satisfied by the SQ. But i've realized they are too big, and bringing them to school is too complicated...I am never using them. So I am now looking for in-ears, and I stumbled upon Shure SE215. My question is : are the Shure's on the same level as the COP? If not, what are the differences? I mostly listen to classic and rap.

Thank you in advance!

I have not heard the COP, but I do own the SE215. It is a nice $100 IEM. A little bass-oriented, but the real bass-heads will still say it is not bassy enough. The highs are there, but I don't think most people would call them bright. Overall, what I hear is fun and very enjoyable with the classic rock I listen to. I would like them to have more detail - the bass and treble is somewhat one-dimensional - the layers of different notes are not all there. Still - these are MUCH better in this regard than other IEMs I have heard at this price (or cheaper). Actually, my biggest problem with SE 215 is the memory wire ear loops - I simply do not like memory wire ear loops - but many other people have no problem with this. Bottom line: I have no problem recommending the SE215 at the $100 IEM price point.

I own them both, and in my opinion they are pretty much on the same level. Like Billybob_jcv said, you might have some issues with the memory wire. But soundwise I find them quite similar. Bass-orientated with somewhat recessed mids.

Personally I prefer the COP for portable usage, but I do enjoy the SE215 a lot. Note that I'm using them both with a Fiio E07K.

Thanks!

If you say they are approximately the same, i'll sale my COP. I think the cable won't be a problem for me, and I sure am going to use them more often! Thanks guys!
