I was looking at these phones and there are a few things I'm wondering.

FIRST!!! Will a leckerton UHA-6 power these phones properly? Has anyone tried this?

And now in no particular order

1) The pads I'd want to use would probably be the v-moda XL memory cushions. Seem like they'd be deep enough. Although how much does that Mr. Speaker alpha pad cost and where do you get it? And has anyone used these v-moda pads for the Fostex yet? Will they fit? Will I have to use tape and if so what is the best type of tape?

2) I will want to use the 10"x10" .067" dynamat mod as I think that is a very good idea to stabilize the ear cup and improve sound for a low price while likely also increasing isolation capacity.

How is this stuff supposed to be applied? I don't recall seeing a pic of it in the super extra big impressive mod thread.

Never mind. What a stupid question of me to ask.

I will cover the whole back of the cup and any other exposed plastic areas with dynamat. I will then use the dynamat to alter the bass post (which is the set of horizontal vents?) and close up the baffle port a little with dynamat. But what is the baffle port?

3) What's the point in the modeling clay if using the dynamat anyway? And is the dynamat supposed to go over the modeling clay?

After this I'm kinda of lost. I would like a frequency response this it basically a flat line with a slight decline from the extreme lows down to the extreme high (with the lows being slightly higher than the highs).

How do I get that using these v-moda XL pads and the dynamat?

I would also like to keep this very cheap if possible. And on that note, what are some authorized retailers that have a good price on this. I'm getting $107 from bhphoto but my cookies may be upping the price. What prices do you see and where?

You know what. If I get these and the pads do fit I will post descriptions of the mods I do and let you know how they sound. Seems like there is no perfect phone for me and I will probably just end up modding anything I get anyway.

But first, will these v-moda XL pads fit the Fostex? And will the Leckerton uha-6 power them well?
