DAC for laptop to bookshelf speakers/M50s

Setup:

lenovo y580 > lepai lp-2020a > velodyne ct-80 > athena as-b2

heaphones: ath m50s

I am looking to connect a DAC to use with my headphones and speakers. Ideally it would go in between my laptop and amp where the audio stream would cut from my speakers and redirect it to my headphones once I plug them in, but I will not be annoyed with unplugging audio cables from the DAC to various sources. I am assuming I will need an amp+DAC combo just for the headphones, but will that also mean I will not require the lepai anymore?

My budget is under $200 from anywhere that ships to Canada. I believe the fiio e10 fits the bill for what I need, but I am just wondering if there is something better than that.

Hi, what about Schiit Modi?

I was considering the modi/loki, but how would that connect to my m50s? Also, I am not considering buying new headphones.

Schiit Modi has RCA line output that you can connect to an amp to drive your headphones. At 200 you can get Modi + Magni combo.

Fiio E17 (DAC/Amp) and even Fiio E10 (DAC/Amp) are still a solid picks.

The Schiit Modi only has one line-output and it's output was not designed for driving headphones.

Where as the E10 has two outputs (one for headphones).

I think I found the perfect DAC:

I have heard good reviews of the sabre DAC, and people comparing it to the ODAC. Plus, this has a built-in amplifier for headphones. I'll put an order in once they have stock.
