For Sale or Trade:
Modded T50rp's BMF V8.1 Price Drop

Will Ship To: CONUS

If you don't feel like modding a pair of T50rp's, then these are up for grabs. I've got about 150 hours and no blemishes, and they're fully burned in. Selling them is a little hard; these babies are a product of many sleepless nights. Material's used include non-hardening clay, acoustic foam, dynamat xtreme, cotton rolls (thanks BMF), electrical tape, conductive glue, stiff felt, double sided tape, Shure SRH 840 pads, and the original pads. They're ratchet (no better way to describe them), they're ugly, but I they sound really nice for a closed headphone.

Sound Signature

The sound signature is pretty hard to pinpoint, they are a little lacking in sub bass, but that allows them to excel in overall resolution and clarity (dat cotton). I'd say neutral across the board, and the smoothest, flattest mids I've ever heard (bests my He 500's in this section, darn you fostex). Mid-centric and clean is the best way to describe them. They also have a very engaging sound. The sound is very aggressive, and fast; really fast actually. They're best suited for vocal music, jazz, rock, and electronic. They're really nice in their own way, BTW if you live in Baton Rouge and are interested, we can meet up for a listen. The pad stacking on the headphones really did miracles for me, it increased sound stage width, proved imaging by miles, and made the headphone a lot less congested. They preform well above their price, and I just want some else to listen to them again.

Mods done

BMF V8.1

Pad stacking (stack one pad over the other)

A lot of other stuff I forgot

Nothing permanent other than removing bass port felt

Shipping included; CONUS only, Price is negotiable

P.S. Most people wouldn't bat an eye at community modded headphones (except for magnums), but in reality I just want someone else to try them, preferably a newbie, I don't really have any use for them anymore, and it a shame, because I never really got an honest opinion from anyone else who've heard them (I didn't even know Adidas made ear buds). The price is negotiable; I can send pics at request, and if you want to mod even further, I can be of help.

I really like vocals, and ortho sound. This sounds like a best of both worlds.

Thanks!

I find them to be more of genre master, I enjoy them for j-rock and pop too. As for classical, I originally tuned them toward old jazz masters. They're resolute and clear, but lack sub-bass (however they do extend very low).
