help a newbie - suggestions for entry level digital phones please

First a couple of basic questions / observations

1) are all wireless headphones digital now or is analogue still available?

2) some years ago I bought Ampliphone digital and although the sound quality was good, the build quality was not and they did not last long.

So now please can anyone recommend DIGITAL entry level (less than $250 / 200€ ) phones ?

I am leaning towards Senheisser but am open to suggestions.

Thanks

1.) All wireless headphone signals are digital, as regulated by FCC standards.
2.) Recommendations depend on how your old cans were broken. Cord broke? Sennheiser HD 518/558/598 all have detachable cables. Frame could not hold upon your head? Beyerdynamic DT 770/880/990 work best, but shop on Amazon to get your price point for these. Driver died off? Both series of cans have plenty of replacement drivers available.

Edit: You are in the U.K.? Looks like International standards took effect on the digital transition as well.

thanks for the reply. when I last bought wirless, because I lived in the UK (about five years ago) digital was not allowed so I had to obtain my ?Ampliphon? digital cans from the USA and use them illegally in england.

Are you telling me that now this is all changed and all wireless cans are now digital - even in Europe?

My previous cans sounded good but the transmitter failed - and to be honest the build quality was poor.

I need a decent wireless digital set of cans for use sitting at home. I don't need them to fold for portability and I don't need bluetooth because I will use them to listen to CD's.

Any suggestions please.?

best regards

Hmmm...do you have an occupation that warrants the ban on digital signals? I won't ask for any specifics whatsoever, but I can recommend these as a starting point:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B004X5JBXU/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?qid=1390749317&sr=8-2&pi=SL75

Sony has really good experience with wireless cans, just be kind to the plastic on it. There is a lower model and an upper model (bluetooth) that Tyll at InnerFidelity recommended as corded. If you cannot buy in the U.K., figure out a way that will suit you best.
