I love my Vsonics, I can't imagine there is anything that sounds as good as them for the price. But it is a bit tough to get a good seal with them, and I frequently find myself pushing them back into my ears as they get loose. The orange tips that came with them did give a very good fit, but I lost one of the two so I have to make do with a different size. I also own a pair of Klipsch Image X10 and while they sound nowhere near as good, I love the deep inserting double flange tips. They stay stable for hours and give me just about complete isolation, so I use them when I'm in the gym or going for a run. Now I'm interested in the Etys since I'd like a really good BA headphone to complement the dynamic Vsonics. Amazon is currently selling them for $225, which seems like a good price.
However, my main concern is if they'll sound better than the Vsonics and if they'll sound too similar. The Etys have an MSRP that's around $100 higher, but the Vsonics are a fantastic value for the price. And both are known to give a very neutral and accurate sound. So will they be unique enough from each other that it's worth having both or will I not be able to tell them apart? And if the sound is too similar, what earphones with a similar fit and similar price point would you recommend instead?
