Start with a Bifrost or go with Gungnir for Teac HA-501 and HD-650s

Title pretty much says it all.  I have a Teac HA-501 and Sennheiser HD-650 headphones.  I'm currently using the RCA out from my SBT to play FLAC files ripped from CDs.

It seems to me that with the new output stage on the Bifrost, it is awful close to the Gungnir.  However the Gungnir has balanced outputs, that my Teac will take.

I wonder if the balanced output will sound "better" and if it will make any difference to my Teac since the output from the amp is common ground.

Any opinions?  Even better, anyone using balanced outputs from a source into an amp that has common ground outputs?

No opinions?  I read several threads comparing the two DACs, but did not find anyone using balanced inputs on an amp with common ground headphone jack.

no reason for Gungnir unless you want to take advantage of balanced.  no one can tell the difference audibly between the uber Bifrost and the Gungnir, ever the Schiit web page almost says the same in their product guides.

oh yea, one more thing are you running 50 m cable?, then you may want balanced!

No , not running long cables. Since they are so close in sound , I'll get the bifrost. I doubt balanced makes any difference with my amp.
