Yes, Eties have to go in deep... there's that sick little joke that when there's grey matter on them when you take 'em out, it was a little too deep ;-)

 

But in my experience one gets used to it and they come with a lot of different tips to fit your ear (and there's more kinds available from different suppliers). If all this doesn't help, you can use some offer by Etymotic to get custom tips made from molds taken from your ear - these should fit in any case ;-)

In my opinion I would say that you can use JH Audio JH16 Pro or AKG K490 NC depending on your preference.
