I was curious what they designed the spiral dots for and I came across a quote from this page:

Quote:
All three models accompany a "spiral dot ear piece," which the inwall dimples diffuse the reflection in the ear piece. This causes the degradation of sound quality -- to achieve cloudless, clear sound.

Degradation of sound quality causes clear sound?

I'm assuming they mean the "reflection in the ear piece" causes the degradation of sound quality.

There is enough microphonics in the cable and MMCX connection to have caused me to loop them over my ears and/or to twist tie them together. The cable used isn't dead silent, but it's not bad.

Thanks!

Some photos, how it looks in your ears would be nice. I wonder whether TE-05 stick out too much.

There are some doubts about connectors. Is that MMCX feels secure? Or you can accidentally pull out it with ease?

For those who love the sound of the TE-05 but feel that the signature is a tiny bit on the thin side, I would like to suggest trying the earphones with FX850 Spiral Dot tips. It will thicken the signature with even more clarity and space around instruments. This is one of my favorite universals too right now.

Have anyone compare this fostex to Yamaha EPH-100? Im really tempted to get one of it,but not sure about how good is it. I gonna need a IEM that provide good isolation and have wide soundstage . But not sure does this fostex meet my criteria or not :/ Not really a basshead.

I have TE-05 now and owned EPH-100 before. Recalling my memory, TE-05 are more sparkling than the EPH-100. Both are not classified as basshead IEMs.
