I'm wondering if anyone makes a box that combines the following three functions.
- High quality DAC
- High quality headphone amplifier
- DLNA renderer (not just a "DLNA player")
My intent is to use an Android tablet connected via WiFi to my home network as
theDLNA controller. I'd prefer not to tether the tablet via USB into the DAC/amp.
There seems to be a fair selection of DAC/amp units but the only unit I know of
thus far that also has the DLNA rendering capability is an Oppo BDP-105/105d.
As a proof of concept, I've successfully tested this with my BDP-103, Android
phone, and Linux miniDLNA server. Though, the BDP-103's analogue section
isn't up to the desired quality.
