Fun tube for dt990 pro 250

Have MDR-V6, Aksent IEMs, DT990 Pro 250ohm, Fiio E17, MUSE PCM 2704 USB-S/PDIF.

Not worried about mdrv6 or IEMs. They work well with the Fiio.

Need a good desk unit to pair well with DT990s, fun sounding, and maybe bring out some staging. Tube rolling sounds fun (here's my wallet!). I don't mind a little DIY but not really good at SMD.

Looking at:

* Schiit Vali + E17 DAC
* Aune T1 (on sale right now)
* Schiit Vali + Modi
* LD MK III
* Bravo V2 (diy mod)
* Project sunrise (built)

Other suggestions under $300 welcome!

P.S. In Canada.

I ended up getting the Ocean instead of the V2 and am very happy with how it pairs with the 990.  I seem to recall several people on Head-Fi saying that this Bravo model 'brought out the mids' and I liked the build better.

I wanted to be sure I liked tubes before I spent several hundred.  That said, the Vali was not available and I was only looking to spend $100...probably would have bought it instead.
