Denon D600 at $270 USD a good deal?

I'm looking for a closed over ear headphones for use on a PC. Used for electronic/pop/classical music and games. I've got a Yamaha 5.1 receiver that works well so hopefully I wouldn't need an amp.

Coming from UE 4000 I would like something with a bit crisper highs, less muddied mids, and deeper bass (not necessarily louder - it seems like the ue 4000s bottom out where my steel series Siberian v2 headset reaches down a bit lower).

I saw on Amazon that the Denon AH-D600 is going for $270. Would you guys recommend these at this price range or would something else be better? Thanks!

at 270, its a pretty competitive price. Just note that its not exactly the most portable headphone out there.

A excellent headphone at its best price. GMP435 is also a good choice.

Thanks for the input! By chance would you happen to know how these compare to the Spirit Pros or HP50s?

The denons are more comfortable and does have the signature you're looking for. They're not that popular around here...

I don't know those two. As far as I know, GMP435s is on sale now on Amazon. It is a good time to buy one~
