Well... I can't speak for the aerodynamics but I do have the mdr x05s. So here goes, the mdr x05s have excellent bass and highs which is great if you listen to dubstep house trap e.t.c you get it. I happen to listen to dubstep and soft rock so here's what I know the x05s sound a little... off when it comes to rock like on californication by the chili peppers the vocals will sound far out, yet silky smooth smoother than the Senn. Hd598. I know crazy right one of the first things you will notice is the treble the treble I extremely harsh again great for dubstep. Right now you may be thinking oh great another knock off beats competitor but in all honesty, they are wayyyy better the bass is a lot but it's clean truly clean. With rock if you want the vocals to be upfront get the beyer if you want more Instruments get the X05s. I gave you such a long list because you are comparing completely different headphones.
Best of wishes:D
EDIT: a headphone amp fixes the treble ptoblem
