Replacement cable for HDJ-2000

Hello,

I love my pioneer's but the bulky/long coiled cable isn't really convenient for portable use.  I recently bought a replacement cable from ebay, and not only did they ship the wrong cable (it worked, but it was a variant that they offered), but it had HORRIBLE sound quality.  Does anyone know where I can get a straight cable that doesn't compromise sound quality?  I am on a budget....so I don't want to spend more than 30.... but I can expand the budget if necessary.  I just need 4 ft.  I see some more on ebay...but they are internationally shipped and I don't know if I should trust it.

Thanks!

[advertisement]If the jack on your can is 3.5mm screw-in, toxic cables (trade member here) has their viper cable that works great with my ultrasones.[/advertisement]

The thing is, the screw-in part of the jack can make a difference in keeping the connection stable, so looking for something more proprietary will work best, or properly in this case.

Haha thanks for the ad, but the HDJ-2000 uses a female mini xlr to 3.5mm... Do you guys have that?

Sorry, I don't work for the guy, but he has a profile here as "toxic cables", I think. You can also google toxic cables and his website will come up. I think he can customize one for you, since you want female xlr to male 3.5mm as 4' in length (too rare for me to find).

Hmm... I don't really want to deal with international shipping.  I read on the AKG Q701 thread that Redco Audio is a good place to order custom cables from.  I filled out the form and it came out to $17 so far (Mogami 2893 cable).... I think I will get this unless someone else has better suggestions.

Have you tried a local music store like a Guitar Center or what not?  Figure they would have different gauges available for all different types of equipment that use these types of connectors.
