I don't think there's a good consensus on which one is absolutely the best. Someone should do the community a favor and make an updated budget comparison thread (maybe there already is one).

Possible contenders:

AKG K240S, Sony MDR-V6, Creative Aurvana Live! goes on sale at $60 time to time.

You got the chinese Superluxes, the Takstars, Somics, and Monoprice DJ, could also look at HARX900, SE-A1000, DJ100...

Maybe a used Grado SR60/80?

Edit: I thought the Citiscape Uptowns went up in price recently to $80, but refurbs are still selling under $60:

You should consider Gemini HSR-1000 (Takstar Pro 80). If you want a bassy headphone you should consider Takstar HD5500. If you prefer a V-shaped sound signature then you should consider Takstar HD6000.

Pioneer Se-A1000 is a really good headphone at its price point if you are looking for open sound (more speaker-like). But, as most open back headphones they don't provide any isolation and they don't provide a lot of bass.

Best Luck!
