New Electrostatic Amp?

Thread Starter

I see Darin Fong at CES in Las Vegas  listing "Vostok Sound: ES-21 – A prototype world class electrostatic amp and DAC combo designed and built in Russia." Anyone heard of this?

Yup.  Heard it at a local mini meet a couple weeks ago.  I liked it...sounded similar to my modded 727 but not as lively/tight.  Gain wasn't an issue.

I just stumbled across this thread...

But I will have the production version of the Vostok Sound ES-21 amp/DAC at the LA/OC Head-Fi meet tomorrow.

Please stop by my table and have a listen.

I am planning on setting up a "tour" list for the amp so it can make the rounds for people can hear it. PM or talk to me at the meet if you want to be put on the list to demo the ES-21.

Just under 5K for the version with the higher powered dynamic headphone amp.

The ES-21 which has the electrostatic amp, DSD DAC, and a low power dynamic amp (for 30ohm or less headphones/IEM's) is $4200 USD. They have the first units available now.

The ES-31 is the same as the ES-21, BUT it has a full power dynamic amp that will drive any headphones. The MSRP on the ES-31 is $4990 USD.
