Whats up? Is my soldering crap?

Hey there, Just had to replace the outer covers on my 240 MKII's because the cracked and broke. I had to disconnect two wires on the right side to enable me to slip the new covers over and then soldered them back on. Problem is, I swear they sound different in game now.

I have windows set to 5.1 and Titanium HD set to headphone which used to give awesome directional sound, but now they are very vague. Is this a possible issue because I soldered them on the opposite way or am I just imagining it? I mean, the vagueness, could it be because I wired it opposite on one side.

Cheers

Yes.

Try this:

The guy saying "In phase" should be coming from right between your eyes (or wherver you see the music)

"Out of phase" should be outside your head somewhere.

If its the opposite, swap ONE PAIR of wires. I'd personally do the right cup, I think its easier.

Brilliant! Fixed it, nice vid btw, really works and as an aside showed the difference between 240's and a pair of old Senn HD 570 I own.

Cheers
