Also, well-recorded CD's can still be phenomenal. Listening to most of Marc-André Hamelin's Hyperion Label CD's, Robert Lucas on the Audioquest music label, or even a mainstream CD like Tool's Lateralus .... those can still impress to a great degree.
First of all, thanks for that. Just wanted to make sure.

Secondly, no argument from me -- I have thousands of CD's, and don't even own a SACD player...yet. I am just beginning to think for purposes of auditioning the high end of cables, it's really hard to judge based on CD's.

PS Why is your avatar what looks like a slab of raw meat? j/k...

Jude - You are doing the community a great service! I can tell from your posts that you will do an unbiased and thorough review. I really look forward to it.

I also see many people are throwing "personalized" requests at you. I don't really want to create more work for you but it would be really nice when you get to your final review if you could also post some pictures of the cables.

Of course we are all interested in the "best" sound, but asthetics are also important to some of us. I for one would really like to see what each cable looks like and the workmanship. None of the vendor web sites really do justice to their product by showing it well. Just a suggestion...

I have also appreciated your comments on the ergonomics (flexibility, etc.) of the cables since many people have made comments on the Clou stiffness.

Thanks!
