Does V-Moda's Boompro mic fit these?

To answer another recent question, I found the isolation of the HD8 DJ to be extremely good. It blocks outside sound surprisingly well.

leakage?

whoops sorry found it.

HD8 has the BEST isolation out of any of the headphones I've tried and owned...it is really the alpha DJ Headphone.

uh oh I think my direction has changed...3 well more than 3 questions?

do these hd8's have more detail than a momentum?

better soundstage than a momentum(not asking for akg here just less congestion than the momentum)?

BASSHEAD CERTIFIED??????

more bass than d2k or m100?

minimal leakage for being able to record in front of a mic at loud volumes or play loud on a bus?

Detachable chord?

I think for isolation alone I am going for this instead of the 1540.

As I have the Momentum's and have tried back to back - the HD8's have a 'wider' soundstage and definitely deeper bass. Sound leakage wise, they're also better than Momentum's or Amperiors.

whoooo hoooo.... the plane may be finally landing.

more bass quantity?

Definitely more bass, on first listen I was apprehensive as quite a few cans these days have a very uncontrolled bass response, but the HD8's are all good - if you like tight controlled bass with plenty of it...:)

Now all I need is a shorter cable for out & about use...! For those with an AK120 - Sound is phenomenal.

I cannot answer anything for detail vs the momentum...however, against other headphones, this has an amazing amount of detail. I find that I can separate basslines easier. The highs are also very easily distinguished. I burned them in only about 10 hours or so, any of the harshness that was present is now reduced, even at higher levels of listening, which I am accustomed to. This has more bass than the Denon 2000 for sure. Also beats out the M100 in my book. IMO the D2K or M100 doesn't stand a chance against the HD8, at least as a "DJ Headphone." Also take into fact that the M100 and the D2K need external sources of power to really shine through. The HD8 does a fine job of getting LOUD even out of an iPhone/MacBook if needed. I of course am using these out of a $2000 mixer.

Agree with Euguy - detail is good and I can compare to Momentum's - yes it is better.

I'm talking about the 7's, not 8's but I believe the only difference is the build - and these are tanks in the manner V-Moda wish the M100 was..............really well built.

No feedback vs the Momentum as I've never tried them.

Basshead certified - 1000%

More bass than any Denon, and V-Moda and maybe more than my Pro900's

No leakage from what I can tell.  Wife can't hear a thing and you can't hear someone talking with music off and phones on.  Very good seal.

Detachable cord - yes BUT the big downside to these is they are a proprietary 2.5 inlet with VERY tight channel and the length of these are like 9' on the non-coiled version.  Way too long for a portable solution, which is what I bought them for.  I wish I had known about the special connector at the headphone.  Not sure what the solution is - guess someone could cut this short and put a male plug.

Time to switch the attention to the 6. =)))))

True, it's...m a y b e...the only negative to the HD line...it will do a fine job pleasing any basshead...as it does a fine job pleasing me so far. This is really what I envisioned the M100 or any other DJ headphone I've purchased in the last 10 years being! So, that should say a lot. The HD8's are also sexy as anything, just so sleek! Also, for DJ use, the coiled cable is actually a perfect length. If you are using these for other purposes, I can see the cable being a smidge too long.
