Help choosing 1st pair of above-average IEMs for everyday use

Hello,

After I recently broke my over the ear Astro A30's, I've decided to dive into the world of IEMs. As a student who inhabits the university library, I primarily value the sound isolation aspect of IEMs.

Price Range: ~$200 or less. I'm willing to go over 200 if it's worth the few extra dollars.

Types of music I enjoy: I listen to a wide variety of music. However, I'm rather particular over the sound quality of uplift trance music (and EDM) -- I prefer heavy base and clear highs.

I've considered the Monster Turbine the most. It seems like the Gold edition is adequate enough for my needs, but my inner self keeps considering spending the extra few bucks and upgrading to the copper edition. Thoughts?

If there are better bangs for my buck, I'd also like to hear about the recommendations!

Thanks in advance.

Get the panasonic hje-900 iems for $150, or find them used for cheaper. Their cable is detachable from the earbud, but be careful with them on-the-move because people have lost earbuds that detached on their own (with the ue triple-fi 10s, anyways).

Thanks a bunch for the recommendation! I did some extra reading on them, and it seems like your recommended headphones hold quite the reputation!

Unfortunately, I'm having trouble finding online vendors that still carry this product...Any suggestions?

Sorry, the correct model no. is rp-hje900. Amazon has them under rp-hje900-w for the white model at 129.99 new and 114.99 used. You can also search the classifieds here for a used discount, but do check their trader feedback, confirm their trades, and follow the classified rules accordingly.
