What he said. I talked about the official price in the Headphone Amplifiers (Full-Size) thread and totally forgot to check this thread for any additional conversations going on about the pricing.

EDIT: for the language.

Thank you both! Thats probably 1200€ for me, reasonable considering the features. Much cheaper than HDVD800 and if its sounds better then why not? Hopefully it fares well with all impedance headphones.

Appreciate the confirmation on the price... Just what I planned and saved for... Unfortunately, I have my funds tied up in housing while we move into a house. So until our deposits are cashed in, I'm back to waiting. My guess is I won't be able to purchase from my local store until at least June/July anyways, so no harm. I look forward to the reviews that trickle in until all my stars align.

Btw, any idea how much that add-on amp stand will run?

The amp-stand was created specifically for the UK event, so there are no direct plans on selling it. But depending on demand, this is definitely something that we can consider manufacturing for direct sale.

Dude how can you have a headphone stand without a matching amp stand??
You could tell in some of the picture that the Oppo logo on the headphone stand and the amp stand weren't exactly the same.
I'm betting that is probably because the amp stands were only in the UK and made by a different designer.

The logo was just not colored in like it is on the headphone stand, and that is because the amplifier stand was not created to be sold. The tooling for properly coloring in the OPPO logo was not calibrated for the amplifier stand, so they remained unpainted.

Appreciate it.

Sorry to plug all these questions, but this shouldn't breach any NDA... Is the balanced jack locking? It's very difficult to tell in the picture one way or the other. Thanks

I don't recall if it locks or not. I'll have to check with the unit I have at my desk at work to see if it has locking capabilities.

EDIT: The balanced headphone input is non-locking.

^ Sorry I find that a bit funny. ;)

Don't know if this might be interesting to find some more details, but the user manual was released for the HA-1 on their downloads page:

http://download.oppodigital.com/HA1/HA-1%20User%20Manual%20v1.2%20US.pdf

Never mind... Looks like someone already posted that two days ago...

So, $1200 in the US, can we confirm UK and European pricing at all?

Thanks

in Australia its $1800!!!! blink.gif google tells me 1200USD = 1296AUD, wheres the $500 markup come from?
its cheaper to purchase it overseas, i bet hong kong retailers have the HA-1 for half the price, anyway stock is expected mid may here, i don't know about the rest of the world.
