Hi everyone, I wanted to ask anyone if this is a deal I should jump on. I was about to purchase a pair of SE535s from e*** for about half the price, but the place I was going to purchase them from said the would sell a new pair for $150 off the msrp. Should I jump on this?

Thanks for any help!

That is a great price but one word of caution is the warranty. Shure has great customer service but two things to find out. One, make sure the eBay seller can provide you with the original receipt and that the original seller was on authorized retailer. Second, call Shure customer service at 800-516-2525 (in the US) to find out if the warranty is transferable to second purchasers.

Thanks for the quick response! It's proaudiostar, which I believe is an authorized seller. I will make sure to ask these questions before purchasing. Thanks!

Good luck because that is a great price. If you do buy it realize you can greatly alter the sonic signature by changing the screens. There is a thread here in Head-Fi that will explain what to do.

I did not realize that, but that I you for pointing that out. I originally bought a used pair of 425s from eBay, but the guy that sold them to me tried to hide that the posts were crushed. I'm kind of glad that it happened now! smily_headphones1.gif
