Hifiman HE-400i and HE-560: From CES to Pre-Launch - Page 52

I just got some Denon angled pads in from China. It should fit right over the hifiman mount rings, seems it would be comfortable. I'll know more tonight or this weekend.

Only thing with these is the felt is sewn directly under the pad so no stuffing of materials can be done to fatten them and get more driver separation. They're real soft and would seem comfy. Hope they sound good!

I just got a pair of the current pleather and velour pads to replace my old and torn soft velour for my Revision 1 HE-300. The current pads are very hard and scratchy. The pleather pads aren't bad though.

Nankai .. while we have you here -- What is the difference between the driver structure of the HE-400i and the HE-560 since both are using single-sided drivers? Also, are you using gold tracings on the HE-560 like the HE-6.

Better report back with something a bit more substantial than the pitiful amount of impressions from CES :o

I am 99% sure they won't.
It was the thing that might have in part been responsible for the lowest sensitivity.
Plus, HE-6 is getting a successor later anyway.

You know when you get that tingling feeling and your heart starts to race a little when listening to a certain song on certain cans... that almost religious experience?  Had that tonight listening to the HE-500s driven by the Lyr with "new" Siemens CCas.  Everything came together.  Pure magic.

So, will the HE-560s make me see God, or do I have to wait for the Jade 2?  ;)

Your comment and monkey avator go perfectly. I believe the monkey is seeing god or something close to it.
