It's more excitement than entitlement. I don't feel the need to review them but I thought it'd be convenient, should I get the chance.
Not sure what your problem is, just cause we love our sound and wanted to write about it.
I'd remove you from the tour for this harsh statement, but I don't really wanna rob you off that.

I should be able to buy one of the HE-400i when it comes out and compare to my current cans. I liked the past 400 when I auditioned them. I currently have the Alpha Dogs, HE-500, LCD2 among other higher tiered models.

didn't mean to offend you, but it sure sounded like you thought hifiman owed you a demo because you worked so hard on your HE6 review.  I've worked hard on my reviews as well.  doesn't make me any more or less deserving then anyone else.  IF there is a demo version on tour, I'm sure Fang will choose his reviewers carefully.  Thats a big IF at this point anyway.

Maybe it was just the way it was worded.  We're all Very excited about the new cans.

LOL, a closed planar?  If you make it as sensitive as the HE-400 is, then it'd make a pretty good portable* I guess :p

*OK, it might not be portable sized, but it'd have the isolation characteristics :p

Isolation is overrated for portable headphones IMO. Open portables are good for walks/biking where you need to still be aware of your surroundings and not get hit by a truck; closed portables are good only for taking public transit.

Thank you! I used my Fidelio X1s on walks all the time for this exact reason.

I respectfully disagree.

+1, as long as they are reasonably driven off portable sources

I wasn't really trying to promote myself above anyone else. Sorry if it sounded like it, but that was hardly my intention.
It'd be nice if Hifiman did make a demo of a few pieces

Dat 560.... Oh man. I was planning to go for the HD800 as my next step (and hopefully final), but if those get a similar price In poland as in US, and they are as good as it seems.... Im gonna have a dilema.

They look awsome in my opinion, and seems like they might be better than the HE-6? I mean... I might have to sell my HE-400 after that but... DAMN.

I think it's WAY too early to jump to any conclusions about the sound of the HE-560.  Meet impressions are notoriously unreliable - not saying it's not a great headphone but reliable ears need to spend some time with the HE-560 in their own systems before we can even start to compare the HE-560 to other headphones.  I would also wait a few months until the hype train dies down and some anti-hype starts to flow.

HE-6 is another enigma, definitely it's own unique sound and nothing like the HD800, and quite possibly nothing like the HE-560.  If you are enjoying the HE-400 it may be worth waiting a few months to see how things pan out.  HD800's are a massive departure from ortho sound though and are ruthlessly revealing of gear quality - which is as useful as it is aggravating.

I know what you mean mate. I will have to wait anyway to save up the cash, as i had to burn the cash i Had saved for the HD800 at christmas for presents and similar, so i wont be In any hurry.

I know HD800 have a reputation for punishing bad equipment, but ive heard two sides of that story so ill know when I test them myself.
