I emailed Fang to see if I could get my hands on a prototype. I'll get back to you soon.

I said it before and I'll say it again, I am in for a demo tour or a review sample.
In fact I've written an ultimate review originally dedicated to the HE-6 (sig)
I'd love to review either of the new offerings wink.gif

I think HFM should send out a couple pairs to Head-Fi members, esp. on this thread, and have an agreement that obligates each member to pass it on to the next member on the list.  I volunteer to prosecute with extreme prejudice any member failing to meet that obligation... :D

JK, mostly, but wouldn't that be a good way to generate lots of reviews and probably make quite a few sales.  Impractical?  Probably.

They should definitely send a pair to us.

I've put hours and hours into writing that review of the HE-6, I expect some gratitude, especially since I'll be buying their headphones very soon regardless :P

Now I'm thinking three pairs, at least: two for the US, one or two for Europe.  It's a lot of shipping around, but then that's on us.  Man, I'm hittin' that pipe pretty hard, cuz this dream keeps expanding and expanding and... ;)

Headphone tours aren't unheard. Demos/tours for Audeze headphones and MrSpeakers Alpha Dogs instantly come to mind. It's a great way to get reviews and impressions out in quick succession. HFM would do well to send out a couple pairs and get them around the community to about 10-15 hand selected people, fanboys and critics alike. Tours are great for new products.

Hell, I'd travel to hear them.  Bring it to DC and people will definitely show up.

Well it took me like 3 days, writing 6 - 8 hours a day and uploading + editing... Didn't get much sleep :P

We've been doing it with HeadAmp for over a year, as well as the Alpha Dog tour, so it's an established way of getting feedback and creating buzz.

HiFiMan would be helping themselves by doing this. They could gain a lot of good will and reviews, and subsequent business by folks who would not have bought their products before.

Hope they listen.

Actually Didio just did this with their new 901, Gelocks was going to send his pair out but actually Dido provided one for us!
