If they fix the inconsisten sound signature from the original Jade, I will have a reason to upgrade to a 'stat.

Just a request to Fang, please keep it affordable and accessible. $2K with a matching amp would be great.

Wow, I'm interested! The weight and lame headband design were my two major turn offs with the Hifimans. This new headband looks cool, and they're far lighter. I look forward to trying these!

And here I thought, something like the SR407 with a 252s was affordable for a stat setup. 2K? Affordable to whom?

If they are still on par with top STAXs in terms of performance, and have shed away quality issues of Jade I, then the price would be justified.

Obviously it wouldn't be affordable on an absolute level, but for people looking to get summit-tier 'stat setup, it would be one of the lowest-costing ones.

I am suggesting that a competent amp and headphone combo should be that much.

Reasonable for a stat and pin compatibility with STAX would be even better. An LCD-X/TH900 costs that much and without an amp.

Stats are hard to build hence the price. They better build a competent design than a cheap one like the Kingsound.
