No official release date. Mid to late March for the 560. About a month after that for the 400i was the last statement... That is if my memory isn't bonkers.

Damn this forum.  Every day at work when browsing on my phone I convince myself i must order a HE-560, then I go home and listen to the HE-500 and think "nah", rinse and repeat for the last 3 weeks......

Hi all I have also been lurking on this thread decided it was time to join in. I picked up he400's as my first decent pair early January and I'm hooked!

sadly just before the announcement of the he400i and he560 and the price cuts :(

I'm really exited about the up and coming he560 and cant stop checking this thread daily for new updates.

Also really impressed by the community interaction and feedback by hifiman!

So it's been conclusively established now that the 400i and 560 have single-sided magnet arrays?

Has that ever been done before?
They should at least have a we page done like about it like oppo did for their non existent headphone tongue.gif
Oppo has to take the cake for "coming soon" yet never coming ..

Everytime I listen to my HE-400 from the asgard i feel like there is no point in getting a better HP :D.

Id love to get myself some awsome HE-560, HD800 and so on, but for now, even the HE-400 is enought for me to enjoy all my audio.

In the HiFiMan lineup, the HE-4 was the first to use a driver with single sided magnets (it's essentially an HE-5LE driver with half the magnets).  Beyond that, there has been the Abyss recently but I'm not sure if there are any vintage models out there that were single sided.

Very good attitude.  Sometimes the enjoyment of what you have gets lost in the obsession of what you want.  Kudos.

Oops, got carried away and committed a cardinal Head-Fi sin!     Think I'll go out and buy some used HE-500's.

Give us twenty Hail HiFiMANs, then go help an old lady with her groceries or something similar mod a pair of your favorite cans, and you will be considered absolved ;)

(sorry, old ladies, but this is Head-Fi, not the Boy Scouts :p)

Just noticed that the HE-500 got bumped down to $599  What are the used prices of HE-500 now? Might consider getting them again for cheap...or should I wait for the newer HE-400i or HE-560. I haven't really followed this thread, so don't know if the prices are fluctuating for these 4 models or not. Also, besides CNET (don't trust Steve), are there any other reviews on the new models?

The two things that are keeping me from getting the HE-500 again (sound aside) are the comfort and the higher sensitivity of the new models. I'm happy that both Audeze and Hifiman took notice of this. I was interested with the HE-6, but I simply don't want to be tied down to speaker amps again. I like my portability. Hopefully, I can drive the new models directly from my Dangerous Source.
