Hifiman are the only ones saving my wallet from estat rigs, I feel almost betrayed that they will introduce one I'll have to have smily_headphones1.gif

I hope they'll introduce a budget friendly e-stat amp with it too :veryevil:

That'd be amazing!

If it still is compatible with Stax amps. If it isn't I might not buy it (of course if it is just the plug then there are solutions to that)
Was the original jade hard to drive?

I was listening to Apple Ear-Bud Sony Discman (headphone that came with the Discman) when I was 17. You're way ahead of the game. Haha. You can also work a summer job / internship and use the entire fund on headphones because you have no rent, wife, or kids. I say that's pretty cool.

Wait... that's totally wrong...  I think I was listening to a Sony Discman when I was 17. (standard Sony headphone included) Apple Ear Bud was like much much later. Haha.

That vs. HE-500 + Modi/Emotiva. ROFL. :veryevil:

Mine was a Technics SL-XP7.   The battery case was as big as the player and surrounded it.   Metal construction, but heavy as a stone brick.  You youngsters don't know how good you've got it.

Speaking of weight, how heavy are the HE-400i and HE-560?  Any specs released yet?

(And weight has been released. Somewhere in this massive thread. Maybe search "grams") Did not work. :o

Every year is a great year for me with HiFiMAN. I've owned all your headphones and IEM's besides RE252 and the Jades.

Yes, I did have RE0, RE ZERO, 262, 272, HE4, HE5, HE5LE, HE300, 400, 500 at one point! All I have now is the HE6, an amazing flagship ;)

That's why I'm dying in anticipation for the new E-Stat

Lmao, maybe search "grams" ;)

And yeah... I know I'm already way ahead of anyone else my age for the most part, and yet here I am looking for a pair of bookshelf speakers to pair with my Emotiva for around $200-$300
