yea, that's true, but I've noticed that with nicer headphones, it becomes more unbearable to listen to lower quality tracks as every little subtle distortion is very clearly articulated. I would prefer less detailed, more colored headphones that don't pick up on those finer little issues as well. haahha.

Honestly, not the bitrate, but the actual recording and mastering sucks for about half the music I listen to.

The HE4 has the best stock cable out of every headphone I've ever owned. Dunno how it could ever be considered cheap.

Yea the SE cable is beautiful! The Balanced Canare... not much to look at 

 

but hey you know what, I'm that sucker who buys cables! I likes em, I thinks em makes a differeance and I'm gone stands by em

 

laugh if you'd like, at the end of the day I still enjoy mah cables

 

that said, the HE 4 sounds most epic... should have gotten this sooner...

The balanced canare is the small cable with TRRS 3.5mm plug, right?

 

Same here, I love the stock 1/4" SE cable.
