Ah, I gotcha'.

I sure hope they go with a more open grill so people don't have to cut up paper trays or trash bins for the mesh. Lol

I love that they weigh less. I may try my first Hifiman over ear!

If they made a more efficient / more refined version of the HE-4, I'm all in!

Some e-stats have a crystal clear type of sound as well to go along with the airyness.  I'll be all in as well.  The only HiFi man I really did not like was the HE-400.  Bring on the HE-7

Hopefully they don't bundle it with that atrocious HE-500 silver cable.

I miss the old Canare one.

The Canare of the HE-400 sucked, it was way too bulky.

The best was the HE-4 sleeved cable.

The HE-500's Canare.

Wasn't it the same?

Hmm, it may have been. Perhaps I've got it confused with the HE-4's cable.

as nice as the star quad that came with the he-500 is, I had to DIY a shorter sleeved set to be less bulky and more portable. Seemingly no effect on SQ but maybe I'm too dense to tell.

I wish they included two cables with these but w/e I have gotten used to replacing stock cables most of the time.

They look really interesting and I'm certainly willing to wait until March for a couple "in-hand" reviews.

Wow those new photos jerg found has me impressed. They look much nicer than Steve's photo. I'm sort of a fan of the new design now. How quickly opinions change with new photos. Haha. The build quality looks to be a step up from the HE-500. I'm hoping the sonics are also an improvement in everyway.

almost bought an HE500! good thing i saw this. not sure if i can wait a few months after march where reviews should be up.

also... i think these are ugly. well... i thought the he500 was ugly too until i got to see it in person.

did hifiman say explicitly that these new cans wont replace the older ones? also curious to see what changed in the driver and where all that weight went (is it just the headband that makes the new ones lighter?).

Wow, that headband looks so much damn nicer in the new photos!

You all know that they shoot the new picture with an angle that don't let you see the weird shape of it, right?

While I like the wood cup of the 560, I don't like the look of the head-band much.. Looks like the Abyss in some ways...
