Headphones for Sony Walkman F series

Thread Starter

Hi, i'm new here and in all that stuff of "good" headphones, so i've just got this player, the Sony walkman nwz-f806, and i just wanted to know about some options of headphones, not in-ear.

I was looking at the Shures srh-440, but i've seen they lack of bass, i'm not a "bass head", but i really like to have some punch and (as i  listen to rock, electronic and so) the "attack"on the bass drum. Really haven´t tried those yet, is just what i've read.

Also i heard they need a portable amp to work good, so i don´t know if my device can handle those shures, i don´t want my battery to be too drained neither, and they a little too big, and i want something to travel in the bus, and don´t looke like with something so big in the head.

So i just want some recomendations, something my sony can handle good, the price isn´t an issue, this would be my first pair of decent headphones, so, i'm a noob

For your application, I would look at some of the better closed portables. Might be some info here for you:

The portable amp won't run off the same battery as your Walkman, it will have it's own rechargeable battery.

Check out the JVC HA-S680 headphones.

They can easily be plugged straight into the SonyWalkman.
