Sennheiser HD650 + EHP-O2D, cracking/noisy sound - what to do?

Hi guys.

A year ago i bought a set of Sennheiser HD650 and an EHP-O2D. At first the sound was amazing. Then about 5 months ago something strange happened. A day where i had left my desktop computer on over night, and the next day when i opened up a youtube video the audio was very weird and extremely noisy. I restarted my computer and the sound seem to have gone better, but i started to notice a cracking sound in certain songs. Especially songs with guitar parts and deep bass.
At first i ignored it and blamed the audio quality of the music, but over time it got worse and after awhile it started to become impossible to even watch youtube videos because of the cracking and noisy sound.
Then i tried using the onboard soundcard in my desktop computer, which helped a bit, but the cracking sound where still audible. So i tried to clean the headset and change the cable, which didn't seem help.
Then i tried using my macbook instead of my desktop computer and tested the headphones on audiocheck.net and they seem to be working fine - no audible cracking sound. (in combination with the ODAC).

So my question: Is there something wrong with my desktop computers' USB ports/motherboard, since the cracking sound only seem to be a problem on my desktop computer? Maybe some electrical problem? What can i try to fix this?

Just a suggestion, but I would contact Epiphany Acoustics and ask them what they think.
